I was pleased to see this as the bookbox journal; I'd read a copy a while back and enjoyed it. It has ideas for toys and treats for one's cats, and some suitable for gifts to cat-owners, ranging from the very simple (large cardboard box into which to drop dried leaves or catnip mice) to fairly serious craft projects. Among them:

"Framed Felines" involves cutting cat-themed shapes (fish, cat-faces, pawprints) out of plain or fancy paper and applying them around the edge of a picture frame. (There are templates for several of these patterns in the book.)

"Green Gifts" include trays of grass and pots of catnip for the cats to nibble on. (My cats adore these, though I have had to be careful about the containers; if they're too light, the cats can lift the whole thing when they tug on the grass, and may wind up spilling soil all over the place!)

I hope to make my selections and get the box moving again soon.

Looks like a handy book for a cat owner; I'm not one, but I like the idea of the kitty sleeping bag. Related note: Jen Yates at Epbot recently did a lovely cat collar tutorial.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Now for the other books...

Looks like the box started with 27 books + the journal; it now has 20 + this one.

These eight started with the box and are still here:

Surprising Stories by Saki
Phantom Stallion: The Wild One by Terri Farley
Turtle in Paradise by Jennifer L. Holm
Nightmare Hall: The Roomate by Diane Hoh
Nightmare Hall: The Scream Team by Diane Hoh
Camp Rock by Lucy Ruggles
Santa Paws to the Rescue by Nicholas Edwards
High School Musical 3 by N.B. Grace

With JennyC1230's permission, I will be keeping these to read and/or wild release rather than sending them back to her.

Now I just need to make some decisions about the rest of the books: at the moment it looks like I will keep the 8 books above plus 5 others; I still need to register a few books but will probably end up putting in 12.

This Bookbox returned home! Thanks so much for a successful Bookbox. If anyone is interested in a Teens/YA virtual Bookbox let me know. I asked in the forums and only one person responded. I'll be journaling all the books and I know RCOUFan and I will enjoy reading some of them. Thanks!

I have journalled all the books that came home in the box. I'm still looking for participants for a Teens/YA Virtual Bookbox, I advertised in the Bookring/Bookbox forum, but haven't had too many people interested. If you would like to join let me know. Thanks for helping make this a successful bookbox! RCIOUFan and I have a lot of interesting books to read and release! :-)
