My Review: I enjoyed this book. Lois Duncan is a wonderful author. This book originally came out in 1974. It's sufficiently creepy and you get wrapped up in the characters, but it's not going to scare the socks off of you or make you sleep with a light on.

Received today as part of JennyC1230's YA/Teen VBB - thank you!

I've read this before, but it was well before the end of the last century. :p

Time to give it another look...

It wasn't called middle school then, but that's probably about the age I was when I last read this book (quite a few years before ksloan23). About the only thing I remembered was the title, but the creepiness of the story definitely holds up.

Maybe that's why I was never interested in going to boarding school! :p
