Welcome to Plum-crazy's Bookshelf
....and here's what I have been reading:
As at 18th November 2020
FOUR HUNDRED & NINE
of my wild releases have been caught.....
to everyone who has sent me surprise RABCKs & other gifts...
For anyone wanting to send me something as a surprise, please contact Nataliec7 , Bookworm-lady or brunton11 who all hold my address for this purpose.
For further details of how this works visit the RABCK Address Contacts forum thread.
I just love reading (surprise, surprise!) & I also love to buy books - I can't resist charity shops & library sales so many of the books on my shelf are for releasing rather than reading - I like to send books travelling. This means my shelf doesn't really reflect my taste, my reading list is a better indication of my reading habits & anything that piques my interest goes on my wishlist. I do love a good grisly murder! - especially where the main characters are mavericks, outsiders or just plain off-the-wall & can highly recommend the following series:
IF YOU NEED A HINT OF WHAT I LIKE.....
Books are always welcome!
It doesn't have to be one from my wishlist - any gritty, gory crime thriller or anything spooky not already on my shelf would be happily received
as would any of Graham Masterton's horror novels that's not already in my Permanent Collection.
I'm also currently rebuilding my collection of
John Connolly's "Charlie Parker" books
so again, any not marked as already being in my Permanent Collection would be welcome.
Baby board/cloth books that I can read to my new granddaughter would be lovely too - okay she's only 9 months old (September 2020) but I'm hoping she'll be a book lover too ;o)
I also love tales of folklore, as well as puzzle/crossword/quiz books that will keep me quietly occupied :o)
I will try anything edible!
I like milk chocolate (esp Galaxy, praline/truffles), love liquorice
& have a serious addiction to Lion's Midget Gems
(although any wine gum type sweet will be happily devoured)
Stationery & Bookcrossing supplies are always welcome, either store or home made.
I love notebooks that are fabric covered, stitched or created with handmade paper - in fact, anything handcrafted,
like bookmarks, that you've taken the time to make yourself is much appreciated.
….or maybe just a little something completely random that will make me smile :o)
"DON'T MESS WITH ME.I'M OFF DOUGHNUTS AND I FEEL AS MEAN AS A SNAKE"
(LULA – “FINGER LICKIN' FIFTEEN”)
"Life. A tiny moment between two eternities"

"We are all made of flesh and stars,
but we all become dust in the end.
Best to shine while you can"
Alice Feeney "Sometimes I Lie"
"A book is not only a friend, it makes friends for you.
When you have possessed a book with mind and spirit, you are enriched.
But when you pass it on you are enriched threefold."
