Absolutely amazing little book!! Hard to wrap my head around a city being over 1000 years old, when my hometown of Calgary is only 130 years "old"! I am sure that my exchange partner in the Yorkshire Day exchange will enjoy this as much as I have.

Although it's only a few mile away, Leeds is a city I rarely venture to (last years Unconvention being one of those rare times!), look forward to learning more about it - ta very much Herchelle!

I finished this book ages ago. It's neat little size made it ideal for keeping in my handbag as an "emergency read". However, it must have slipped to the bottom (the downside of big bags!) & as I haven't used that bag for a while I've only just rediscovered it!

Its a mine of interesting & fun facts from quirky buildings & statues to bodysnatchers & ghosts - a pretty varied mix!

My only gripe is the list of bands...I've never heard if any of them! Where are the Kaiser Chiefs?
