Graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts, USA - home of the Minutemen and poetess Emily Dickinson.

10/21/13: And...I'm 26 today, and realized it's been over two years since I've updated.
Some highlights:
- Completed my master's thesis and received my M.A. at University of Houston.
- Traveled to Austria/Slovakia (Winter 2012) and Germany/Czech Republic.
- Made it to the BC Convention in Washington, DC in 2011.
- Presented papers at several conferences, and had my first published journal article.
- Got accepted to the University of Wisconsin-Madison's PhD program in theatre, and moved there :)
- Dramaturged oodles of shows in Texas and Maryland (and soon, Wisconsin).
- Worked a lot on self-healing and enjoying life.
- Started a new blog.
4/26/11: Yes yes yes! ACCEPTED to graduate school at the University of Houston and will be moving, in August, to Houston, Texas to study theatre!

7/21/09: Back in the USA after a trip to Ecuador and a successful show in New York City! Time to catch up on bookrings and other things...
5/25/09: Wow, lots of things have happened in my life sine my last update - the most important of which being my graduation from UMass Amherst last Saturday - I graduated with honors and, as of today, am officially living in Baltimore again, for good.
2/4/09: My second anniversary since joining bookcrossing - one of the best decisions I have made in my life. This year's RABCK raffle was won by klaradyn of Cape Town, South Africa. She will win a surprise package from me! Congratulations, klaradyn!
10/21/08: Happy 21st birthday to ME! And to Jeanne (NMReader), who is not 21 today!
9/17/08: My play Unplugged won best new short play in the Citypaper's Best of Baltimore 2008! Yay!

6/2/08: I GOT A JOB!!!! I can finally pay my own postal bills!

5/17/08: HOME for the summer in Baltimore, Maryland! Got a great review from J. Wynn Rousuck on 88.1 FM!
5/13/08: The review is in - gave Variations on Power three and a half stars, and my play merited five stars in acting (Mawk, Tracey, Stacy, Nancy, Beverly), five stars in direction (Courtney) and five stars in script (ME!!!) Congratulations to all involved - we're awesome! ALSO: nikkilovesbooks of Nhulunbuy, Northern Territory, Australia won my Wings RABCK raffle! Congrats, Nikki!
5/6/08: I GOT WINGS! thanks to my birthday twin NMReader in Albuquerque, New Mexico! And I don't even drink Red Bull!
5/2/08: Premiere of my play at Run of the Mill Theater/Theatre Project in Baltimore, Maryland!
4/17/08: I won the TA position for the fall (THEATER 100), and had my very first photo shoot! (interviewed by a newspaper on Monday!)
3/26/08: A 4th raffle win! Thank you hagathorn!
3/16/08: VICTORY! My play won a competition and will be performed in Variations 2008, May 1-18 in Baltimore, Maryland!

2/4/08: MY FIRST BOOKCROSSING BIRTHDAY! It's been a great year. For my birthday, I held a RABCK raffle, which was won by hippolein of Helsinki, Finland. He won Josephine Tey's The Daughter of Time. Congratulations, hippolein!
1/28/08: First day of spring semester 2008!
1/20/08: A wonderful day! I met my first real-life bookcrosser, Isabel-Batteria, in her hometown of San Juan, Puerto Rico! She took me and my family around the city and we had a great time together. Thanks again, Isa!

7/6/07: All the flights booked and arranged...I'm going to orientation at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 11 days!
6/14/07: I officially made the DEAN'S LIST at college and I will be appearing as Gayeff in Jewish Theater Workshop's production of The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov.

A few facts about me:

- I am an open person and love meeting new people, learning about new places/things
- I'm Orthodox Jewish and proud of it
- I am a member of Alpha Phi Omega (Kappa Omicron chapter)
- I am a proud alum of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst - go Minutemen!
- I will be studying for my MA at the University of Houston - go Cougs!
- I am a mostly self-taught, VERY avid reader, reading since about 3 or 4 years old
- My best friend Abby and I would sit together and CHEAT on class assignments in kindergarten...all the answers were printed at the bottom of the page, upside down, in tiny letters...we were the only ones who could read...we didn't even know what cheating was, we just thought we were being resourceful :)
- I entered first grade with about a third grade reading level
- I was not allowed to participate in spelling bees in school because everyone knew I would win :( but I got to judge once
- I keep notes of intriguing/well written passages in books
- I keep a reading "dictionary-diary" of new vocabulary words (approaching 40 pages of them since sometime in high school!)
- I love to buy bargain books for myself and friends on amazon/
- Other word-related interests: CROSSWORD PUZZLES (Esp. New York Times), LOGIC PROBLEMS, BOGGLE, Scrabble, Apples to Apples, Scattergories, Taboo, Ticket 2 Ride
