Beautiful book...used it a lot for Sunday school, but I have plenty of other stuff now.
I used this short book as the BCID # for my Potpouri BookBox. Now that the bookbox is over and this book is being used for the Last Book Standing bookbox, I decided to edit this portion of the journals so folks won't get confused when looking for the next participant in line.

This poor box arrived in terrible condition. It had a big hole in the side and a corresponding space inside the box which I suspect once contained books! Well if it lost 1/2 a dozen or so at least they are bookcrossing books and maybe someone will journal them! Received as the tracking book for a book box started by nattabee! It is the story of Jesus and his words (from the gospel of John) in poetry form. Will make my selections from the book box and send on, and may even finish this book of poetry. Thanks for allowing me the fun of a book box--lots of good choices of books Truly a potpourri of books!
I have "inherited" a book box that contains about forty books (both fiction and nonfiction, mostly fiction of different genres and good reads), and I am proposing something a little different. Most book boxes have a 1 for 1 swap (1 book replaced by another), but in this book box, replacement is to be a "Subtraction"--at least one less book put in than the time before. For example, Person A gets the box with the full 40 books...takes out 5 and puts in 4...now the box has 39 books and sends it to Person B (on the list) who chooses 4 books and replaces 2, now the box has 37, and so on until there is one "Last book standing" which will be "wild released" by the last person to get the "Last book standing" book box. Oh yeah, one other thing: after going through the books, PM me with your Vote for your choice of the last book standing (the book to be "wild released") and I will keep track of the votes for a prize (to be determined). If more than one person chooses the correct book, then there will be multiple prizes (but again, to be determined).
Make sense?
The rules are fairly simple:
1) The box must get smaller each time by one to three books, depending on how many persons are willing to participate in this off-the-wall book box.
2) Preferably no Harlequin romances.
3) Please keep your vote to me secret from the other readers
4) No dumping.
5) At least one book must be removed per person, but in that case, no books would be replaced (subtraction must occur each time).
6) As many books can be chosen as desired, but there must be replacement to at least one less than before. In other words, there must be a reduction in the number of books.
7) PM the next participant when the box is in your possession.
8) Please try to make the book choices within a reasonable time frame, say a month (yes, life happens, and if a problem occurs, please let me know!).
9) Replace the box if necessary; tracking of the box may be desirable.
10) Last rule: the book to journal the travels of the box does NOT count as the "Last book standing".
Theoretically, the post office costs should be reduced with each subsequent person! Please PM the next person in the order of the list for their address, and don't forget to PM me with your choice for "last book standing" vote.
