I've managed to put the brakes on my compulsion to buy new books, probably because of the huge pile balanced precariously on one of my storage tins, which itself is perched on top of my bookshelves.
However, there are a couple of charity shops down the road from my house, and in return for providing them with old clothes, unwanted presents and useable stuff that we as a house have decided we no longer need, both shops have started putting their more interesting books on display outside, with a whopping big sign exclaiming just how cheap they were. I've always managed to resist before, but with the recent fantastic weather I've been going out for lots of walks, and the frequent temptation has been too much to take.

I started reading this book over at a friend's one day, but didn't really get the chance to settle into it, so I might add it to my TBR pile before releasing it.
