Registration Challenge book #30

Book Description:
He was tall, dark as bittersweet chocolate, and impossibly gorgeous, with a woman-melting smile. She was pretty and independent, petite and not too skinny, just his type. Franklin Swift was a sometimes-employed construction worker, and a not-quite-divorced daddy of two. Zora Banks was a teacher, singer, songwriter. They met in a Brooklyn brownstone, and there could be no walking away...

In this funny, gritty urban love story, Franklin and Zora join the ranks of fiction's most compelling couples, as they move from Scrabble to sex, from layoffs to the limits of faith and trust. Disappearing Acts is about the mystery of desire and the burdens of the past. It's about respect, what it can and can't survive. And it's about the safe and secret places that only love can find.

Convention/Anniversary Challenge release #15

Semi-theme release since this book features a "pretty boy" character. A truly wild release! Directions from Baltimore: I-83N to exit 31, left/west on Middletown Rd. Left on Rayville Rd, go 1 mile, then turn left on Spooks Hill Rd. After about 1/2 mile, the road takes a sharp bend. Park at the next gravel mini-lot/turn-around area, then walk back up the road to an orange chained fire road. Follow the fire road several hundred yards, then keep going straight down a narrow trail almost to the edge of the overlook. A stunning view and a free book await!

Krista, As you might guess by now, my husband and I were hiking, found a free book, hiked some more, found another book and continued all the way to the water, and found this book! I had never heard of bookcrossings and I didn't realize others might be searching for these books or I might not have taken them all. But it sure made an exciting hike! When we came out of the woods, and I had four books strapped to my backpack, (one was a trail guidebook) I looked like I had been to the library instead of on a hike! What I was wondering, If you live in Gaithersburg, how did you end up on this particular trail??

I found this book very insightful into the challenges our young men of color face here in the USA.
Sad that this is still a very color judged world in which we live. Having spent a great deal of time in Eastern Europe I must comment it is no different there,

This is my first experience with Book crossing. I found this book to be well written and enjoyed reading it. Had I not come across this book on a park bench, I would not have chosen it on my own. The loss would have been mine. And so I will send this book on it's way to hopefully enlighten others.

I will update as to where in Central New State I will place this book. Later!
