So it's been a year since I last visited Scotland Street, so it was time to grab a coffee, snuggle up in some PJs and get reading. It really is like catching up with friends, Bertie's mum is still just as controlling and I really wish his dad would just man up a bit. Bruce is back and is just as annoying as ever, although he may well have met his match. Antonio and Dominica were quite amusing too, assessing thier friendship now they are neighbours and working out the boundaries. At least this time I know it won't be year before my next visit as I've got the next one to read immediately to give to my secret Santa.
Sent on for the UK Secret Santa - Merry Christmas :-)
Thank you Kingfan30 for a wonderful Secret Santa parcel.
I love these Scotland Street novels, in fact I can almost say that I enjoy them even more than the Number One Ladies Detective Agency series.

I have make a small confession about this book. I have just discovered another copy hidden in my TBR mountain. I must have picked it up a year ago at the Leeds Uncon. Unusually for me, I haven't journalled it. I will release THAT copy soon and put YOUR copy where it can be seen so I can READ it!

This has been on my shelf for nearly four years now, so I thought it was about time I read it. It must be almost as long since I visited Scotland Street. Despite that it felt as if I hadn't been away. Poor old Bertie is still being oppressed by his crazy mother and I'd still like to punch Bruce! As usual with an Alexander McCall Smith book I will have to move straight onto the next one..........
Taking this to Light Night in Leeds. Hopefully I will find somewhere to leave it and then I will also hopefully remember to do the release notes, unlike the last book of yours that I left in Leeds! With a bit of luck this one will be caught too!
