I have always been a bit of a bookworm and come from a family who is forever swapping books. I love the idea of book crossing as I never know what to do when I am at the end of the line, now I do. This is how I work my bookshelf:
TBR - I do intend to read these books, I am willing to send them out and will bump them up the pile following requests
AVL - Are available for sending
PC - none of my books will be set as this
RES - they are either part of a bookring/ray or have already been promised to someone else
My favorite books are:
The Hobbit, Memoirs of a Geisha, Ella Minnow Pea, Sleepers.
My other interests include horse riding, photography, gardening, going to theatre (particularly musicals), and spending time with friends, family and my cats. During the summer I volunteer once a week for Kesteven Rideability, which I find very rewarding and absolutely love, I'm still trying to convince my husband that going part time at work is a good idea so I can spend more time with this very worthwhile charity. If you would like to find out more please visit www.kestevenrda.co.uk/
You can also find me on goodreads, I'm the same name as I am here but with a picture of our black cat and not our tabby who we unfortunately lost earlier this year.
I love lists and am working my way through the below - good job there is a lot of cross overs!!
BBC big read top 200 = 164 (82%)
Telegraphs 100 Novels = 64 (64%)
1001 books: Original = 254 (25.37%) - 2008 list = 224 (22.38%) - 2010 list = 222 (22.18%)
combined list = 285 (21.92%)
I am also trying to work my way through the Discworld series (in order!) and have read the first seventeen, I have a few holes in the collection though and you can find any missing ones on my wish list, I will always exchange if you have any that fill the gaps.
I have read books from the following countries
visited 39 states (17.3%)
