Loved this book! Almost all of the story is writen in letters. It reminds me of the days when you would receive letters by snail mail. This book made me nostalgic for those days. Maybe that's why I enjoyed it so much.
I found that it took reading four or five letters to get used to the format, understand what was happening and get drawn into the story. Then it is difficult to put down.

WOW! ANOTHER book from my wish list! You have been so very generous! As I mentioned before, I also appreciate the added little gifts: postcards, bookmark, notepad and Maple Candy from Canada! Thank you!
July 1, 2013: Next on my To Be Read List as a trade with Tchaikovsky for the Series of Unfortunate Events #7.
July 12, 2013: I am so totally loving this book. If it wasn't already promised, it would become part of my permanent collection! So far, my favorite part? The author leaves a gentleman at the altar. I'm not telling why, so I don't ruin it for future readers, but suffice it to say that I would have done the same thing! LOL!
July 14, 2013: Sigh, and every book must come to an end! I feel as if I am saying goodbye to old friends. What a wonderful way to learn about history! Will be sending this along to another bookcrosser tomorrow morning.
