It has taken me way too long to get to reading this book.
And now that I've taken it to hand, I have to say that I'm not going to finish it. It has taken me several months to get to the 102 pages that I've read now. The book isn't bad, I just can't keep my attention to it.
To 'the story' would have been not the right term, for it is more a collection of things happening to the characters living on the scattered farms, in the small town they visit every now and then and their adventures with the people that arrive by boat from overseas.
It sounded very interesting, and I would love to learn more things like how hunting for reindeer was organized, but I just can't keep up with this way of writing for another 400+ pages.
