I finished the grown-up version of this tale not so long ago and I am curious about the children's version.
Well, the children's version is better illustrated. ;-) The story's essentially the same. The only difference of note is that Bigwig did not use an alias, I think.

By Frith-rah's Hraka!
(for those who don't speak Lapine, that loosely translates to "By the Stars" or literally "By the sun's droppings")
I had no idea these books existed until I got a surprise package from Greyflank today. Or the TV series that it says they're based on. It seems somewhat fitting that the publishing company is named after an animal (Red Fox), but then again foxes are embleer elil.
It looks like an interesting concept, and a noble attempt to bring a great book to a new audience. I loved the movie, but I found the sequel to the book disappointing. Not because it was bad, but because, though enjoyable, it didn't live up to the promise of the original. We'll see how these turn out. In any event, it's a nice gift, but my equine friend has always been good at that sort of thing.
This volume is a retelling of the escape from Efrafa, another grand scene.
