Review from Amazon.co.uk
As a debut novel, Eve Green is the fantastic story of an eight year old girl growing up in the Welsh countryside after the sudden loss of her mother. The story is told by a twenty-nine year old Eve who is expecting her first child by her partner (and farmhand from when she was younger) who is 16 years her senior, causing controversy in the small village. The plot follows Eve as she tries to find out why her father is widelt critcised in Cae Tresaint and come to terms with the abduction of a young local girl. The author manages to keep the reader's interest by hinting about what happened to Eve (such as the fire and what happened with the 'green-eyed man') but only revealing exact details near the end.
One of The Times Inspiring Reads for 2006.

Thankyou, Anglersrest for this bookring which arrived yesterday. Rather surprised that the list is so short as this book has had good reviews!? Having not received any bookrings for awhile then two arrived together! Looking forward to reading this, although it will not be until next week as I have the other bookring to read first.
Not surprised that this title is a Times inspired reads for 2006. It gets my vote for best book read so far this year. Look forward to this debut novel being followed by more from this talented young author. Mysterious and romantic...........For more read the Amazon review, journal entry 1.
Will be sending on to Amanida as soon as I hear from her.

Arrived from in the post from Italy this morning, thanks, LindyLouMac. I'm half way through my current book - I'll start this one as soon as I've finished.
I was hooked from the start. Very compelling and enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing, Anglersrest.
Though I did find myself wondering how big Eve could remember all the details of being 8 years old so well. I have susanmrz's address, so it will be off to her shortly.

This arrived today, unfortunately all todays packages - 9 in total - were delivered to the wrong house so my neighbour probably thinks I'm mad now as well as the postman!
I've got so many books to release that I hope it is OK if I read this one before letting it go.
