I really enjoyed this book. It is so nicely written. Fantastic use of the language.
I'm not much of a cook or wine drinker, but still enjoyed the descriptions of the
food and wine. I did have an old house that needed LOTS of work... so I could really
relate to the book on that level! I know they made a movie of this book, but can't see
how! (it reminds me of "like water for chocolate" in that regard!) This book is more
about writing wonderful descriptive prose than a "story" to follow.
