Hi

I'm a full time writer, I run Driftwood Manuscripts and live in Adelaide with my partner Stuart and my cockatiel, Jones. I love finding spots for my books to be found and I am hoping to continue to clean out my bookshelf and send out books to be found. it is fun, like being ain a secret club, and instead of hiding messages to my secret club members, I'm hiding books for strangers. I hope at least one of my books will be found and registered. I'm so glad I foudn this site, it's just what I need at the moment and forces me to get out and about while I finish writing the book (THE LADY SPLASH) that is now overdue...

My professional bio is:
Kirsty Brooks is the author of The Vodka Dialogue The Happiness Punch and The Millionaire Float, all published by Hachette Livre. She is also the author of Hitching: Tales from the byways and superhighways, Mad Love and Lady Luck and the upcoming sequel, Bossy Boots, all published by Wakefield Press.

Kirsty is the director of Driftwood Manuscripts, an assessment and editing agency for writers. She is a former Chair of the SA Writers’ Centre, has a Journalism Degree, and an Advanced Diploma in Professional Writing.

In 2004 Kirsty was awarded the Barbara Hanrahan Fellowship as part of the South Australian Premiers Awards and has been a guest at every major Australian writers’ festival. She runs workshops and seminars on writing, publishing and manuscript assessment, is a mentor for emerging writers and writes for The Adelaide Magazine.

Her next two Cassidy Blair books, The Tequila Bikini and The Dignity Flip will be published in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

Thank you for reading and releasing some of my books before I was a member. it was thrillign to see them and to read the reviews, good and bad. I really love the whole concept of this site and congratulate everyone associated with it for their great attitude to reading, their generosity and sense of fun.
