Before I start I should say that this book has come a long way already. I bought it in a small bookshop in Matara, Sri Lanka on my way to Australia. It has already been half way around the world so lets see where it ends up. Please look after it for me!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! If anyone is a fan of 19th century classics then this will not fail to entertain. It is a story of love, loss and disappointment and then finally love once more set around rural, parochial England. Coming from Somerset myself it was easy for me to envisage the landscape and old estates Jane Austen creates for the read. It is timeless in many ways, how often do you here that women today love a ba###rd. Some things don't change because if Willoughby isn't one then I don't know who is!! As well as all of this the book is funny and a subtle but rich vein of humour runs throughout.
