1981 Signet paperback of the 1978 #1 Best Seller. This edition is a tie-in to the 1981 United Artists film starring Donald Sutherland and Kate Nelligan. With photo insert from the film. This was on my list of best past thrillers to read when I found this copy some months ago in the free books pile on the porch of Dimond Library.
I can let this go after I read:
1974 The Big Needle (The Big Apple) [read 2012]
1976 The Modigliani Scandal [read 2013]
1977 Paper Money [read 2015]
Edit June 8, 2015: This was a heck of a good spy thriller. I have got to see this movie. I have read a couple versions of this attempt to mislead the Germans on the invasion plans ahead of D-Day. This was one of the better ones. I currently have this ranked at #179 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
