1985 Signet paperback of the 1976 early thriller. I bought this copy today for 10 cents from the sale shelf at Dimond Library.
I can let this go after I read:
1974 The Big Needle (The Big Apple) [read 2012]
Edit December 31, 2013: I think this pseudonymous one might be a bit obscure precisely because it is not very good. The idea is clever, but too complicated, and not much action at all. So it mostly just lost and bored me. But things all come together well in the end. If I had the time, it would be perhaps worth a re-read, to figure out everything that I missed from the first part, now that I know the resolution. But I have too many unread books, and too little time. I currently have this one ranked at #361 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
