I didn't know that McCall Smith has written children's books too. Now I know - and this book seems to be on a couple of wishlists as well, so it will certainly travel along after I've read it.

The story was 'weird enough' to interest an adult reader. I like Roald Dahl's books better, though.
Will send this along as a wishlist/HGG surprise

Yes, this is still, sorry :)) it was on my wislist!! An A. McCall Smith book!
Thank so much! :))
Magntic bookmark, an art bookmark, sticking plasters with a beary holder, a Mitzi Blue fruchtjoghurtschokolade (I have never tasted this kind of thing), and another book, a story with the Charmed ladies from the TV with a postcard
Wonderful day!
Moreover it is my 2nd anniversary day!!
Perfect timing!!

I have already read better children's books from A. McCall Smith, in this story the adults seemed to be so clumsy, meanwhile the 2 children were much smart, which was a bit unreal. Otherwise, I enjoyed this charming mystery, which was a light read, and also had some new words in it too.
Thanks Releanna for sharing this with me, and Thanks Piiku for registering this book! :)

I didn't first believe my eyes when I noticed it was Piiku who had registered this book.
In this household there are two fans of McCall Smith: mom reading The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, The Sunday Philosophy Club, the 44 Scotland Street and the Portuguese Irregular Verbs series, and the daughter reading Akimbo-books.
So this book definitely found a good home for a while :)
