After seven hundred years of life, Marguerite Argeneau finally has a career. Well, the start of one, anyway. She's training to be a private investigator, and her first assignment is to find an immortal's mother. It seemed simple enough, until Marguerite wakes up one evening to find herself at the wrong end of a sword. Now she realizes she's in way over her head.

Thanks so much Lemonitsa. What a nice surprise! And turn out to be much welcome since I had been too pessimistic about how many books I can read during the trip. I started reading it on the flight home. A bit hard to get into as first since this is book 9 and I had only read one book in this series. Also, warning to the next reader: DON'T look at the family chart (though I am sure this will make you flip to that page immediately...) But it did spoil the plot a bit.

Thanks again, Lemonitsa. It was so lovely meeting you in person, over delicious croissant and coffee!

I am really glad to read another book of this series. I didn't like the start though; the plot was thin, even without the plot-spoiler, but thankfully the story gets more interesting and less formulic, so I was a bit sad when it ends. Fortunately I still have almost the whole series to catch up to. I wonder if the next book will be about Tiny?

The vampire is now flying to his next victim, jennymidget, whom selected the book from the "Trip to Castle Dracula" relay on BookObsessed.com.
Remember, skip the family tree!!

It's going to be way more difficult than I thought to track down books 1-8 of this series! It's been requested by a reader in the Philippines, so I'm going to let it journey on...
