Magic: The Final Fantasy Collection

A collection of stories an essays by one of the most prolific writers in the history of science fiction. Asimov is not known for writing fantasy, but he has, and it's good, like all his work.
Many of the stories are about a man named George, who can summon up a 2-centimeter-tall (that's less than an inch) implike creature named Azazel. George tries to use Azazel's powers to help assorted people he meets, but things always go wrong in some way. Well, he may just be making it all up and teling tall tales to a friend of his who is a writer. These stories are often very funny.
The essays are on a variety of subjects, some on fantasy itself, some on the state of the world. In one, he scientifically calculates the speed of Seven League Boots. He also discusses J.R.R. Tolkien, the line between technology and magic, the horrible things that happen in fairy tales if you actually read them, the line between sci-fi and fantasy, the controversy over evolution and IQ tests, and much more.
Books by Isaac Asimov:
The Best of Isaac Asimov
Magic
I, Robot (2nd copy)
Robot Dreams
The Gods Themselves
The Edge of Tomorrow
Of Matters Great and Small
Microcosmic Tales
Worlds To Come edited by Damon Knight
The Wizards Of Odd edited by Peter Haining
