This was waiting for me on my return from a trip. I can't wait to read it. Thanks so much

I read this compelling book in just 24 hours, I didn't want to put it down, although I had to keep replenishing my tissues as I read much of it through tears. I just do not know how anyone can treat children just quite so appalingly, and I really do wish there were more people like Torey in this world, she desrves every medal going.
I felt a little bit disappointed by the ending - I would like to have known a bit more about how Sheila was progressing. I really hope that life continued to improve for her and that she is now flourishing.
I'm going to have a look at Cliffs wishlist and RABCK.com and see if I can continue this book's journey that way.

This will wing its way to Marlene-TC in the Netherlands as a surprise RABCK.

Hi there. I just received this rabck. I was not sure if I could open it ((because I am also participating in a Halloween exchange on the bookobsessed site, former relay)

Someone told me I could (I now think she was just joking) anyways, I am so happy with this wish list book. I have never read anything by Tory Hayden but when i read the reviews on amazon I knew I would like her books and added a lot of them to my wish list.

Thank you so much for choosing me and I will let you know my thoughts on the book.
Hugs Marlene

Description:
The time had finally come. The time I had been waiting for through all these long months that I knew sooner or later had to occur. Now it was here.

She had surprised me so much by actually crying that for a moment I did nothing but look at her. Then I gathered her into my arms, hugging her tightly. She clutched onto my shirt so that I could feel the dull pain of her fingers digging into my skin. She cried and cried and cried. I held her and rocked the chair back and on its rear legs, feeling my arms and chest get damp from the tears and her hot breath and the smallness of the room.

I'm a total newbie at Bookcrossing, so don't know at all if I'm doing this the right way! But I got the book via Bookmooch, and read it all in one evening. It's the kind of book I just couldn't put down, and I cried while reading it, which I almost never do. I really admire the kind of work Hayden does. I want to read all her other books now, too.
