There's this one weird guy on the backside, and I can't for the life of me work out who he is supposed to be. It sure isn't Dumbledore. Quirrell maybe? Nope, no turban in sight. Hagrid, Ollivander, Snape... pur-lease. Okay, so it's probably Flamel (although we've no idea what he looks like) but I'm really confused on why they replaced old Dumbledore (just because of that? That's gerontism, it is! o_O) when he's so much more memorable. Besides, this guy looks a bit too young to be some six hundred years old. Hmpff!
To have a look at its "good twin" copy, click here.
Incidentally, this does seem to be the older edition, numbered 26 through 30, whereas the other one claims editions 53 through 60. Both were "first published" in 1997, so it's probably the same edition overall, just reworked. The blurb has also been changed slightly: Here, it says that Harry is "rescued by an owl" and "taken to" Hogwarts, whereas the new version states more correctly that he's "rescued by a beetle-eyed giant of a man" and that Harry "enrols at" Hogwarts. My own copy looks exactly the same as the newer one, albeit in a slightly different format first published in 2000, so they probably decided to keep that look.

in one of these yellow mini-"cages" for information brochures, direction "Krumme Lanke"
Erm, of course that should have been "Nollendorfplatz", the opposite direction.
And I've taped a Ballycumber icon onto the spine running onto the cover, and now it looks like Harry's all surprised at seeing it. I thought that was rather cute. :)
You've found a wandering book! Please leave a short (or not so short ;) ) journal entry, so I know that the book's well and safe in your hands. For example, you could write where you found it, how you like it, or what you are planning to do with it.
Thanks a lot!
erinacea
PS: While I enjoy writing these texts in English, there's no obligation for you to do the same. If you like, you could make an entry in German, or whatever your mothertongue may be.
