Received today as part of a trade. Thank you so much, Sterile!
Can't wait to start reading it, but have to finish a few library books first.

Damn it, I totally forgot to make a journal entry when I read the book!
I absolutely loved it. It is a charming, beautiful story with a wonderful main character. Actually I loved the whole family. Besides, it has one of the most memorable first sentences I ever read. :o)
And because I'd love to share it wth more people I have sent it to ajsmom in Canada and will see if I can start a bookring with it once she is finished reading it. I hope it will return to me eventually, because I'd love to read it again in a few years.

Thoroughly enjoyable. I'm so glad I was finally able to get my hands on a copy as a bookring I had signed up for has stalled indefinitely. Thanks so much for sending it my way, samulli. Let me know when you organize a ring for it and I can send it to the first reader if you like.

This is the final list for the bookring:

Arrived today! I've already started reading it and hope I won't be able to put it down! Thanks Samulli for organising the ring, and thanks for the kind thought ajsmom!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as you can tell by the length of time it took me to finish reading it! I didn't want to rush through, it is the kind of book you just want to sit and savor. I love when a book makes me wonder what its characters are up to during the times I'm not able to read it, and this book is one of those. I will be sending it on as soon as I have Bdgrgrl's info!

Both Bdgrgrl and aava have asked to be skipped, so I've contacted Brujula and will mail it out as soon as I have the address!

Sent off to France last night... enjoy!!!

Really a charming story, with a endearable, most lovable narrator, full of humour...
I loved the bit about good deeds and hot baths being the best cure for depression!
Thank you so much for sharing this so nice book!
What should I do with it? Do you want me to send it back to you, samulli? Or would you like to try to go on with the ring?
