The patient was blazing with fever, wildly agitated, unable to speak, swallow or move her left arm. Doctors who admitted her to the hospital in Dallas were troubled...they were unable to ascertain the exact nature of her disease. But it was incurable. Finally, an autopsy shed some light on the problem. The woman had been a victim of rabies.

A victim - and the cause of death plain. But who had wieled the murder weapon? Once more, investigators from the Department of Health were alerted to assume the role of detectives, to track down the killer before he could strike again.

I have read nearly everything Roueche has written, but I don't remember reading this one! My dad and I used to really enjoy the medical detective books by Rouche, and to find one I haven't read yet is a treat. Thanks so much!
