Purchased and read at just this time of year five years ago. In mid August I always start to feel sad about summer's end approaching. This book was great. It had several parallel stories all relating to nature and life cycles. My favorite character was Deanna, the park ranger. I thought it would be fitting to release this book in the woods. Later today when I pick my daughter up at nature camp, I plan to release the book near the announcement board of the wildlife sanctuary. It would be a great book for someone to take on a hike or on a camping trip. It's always nice to read about nature while you're in nature.

found it the day it was set free. started reading it that afternoon and finished it 4 days later on a plane to dallas. i fully intended to leave it in a coffee shop there but my traveling buddy said she wanted to read it so 'prodigal summer' came back with me from texas. my buddy was reading 'angels and demons' and has since moved on to 'the davinci code'. i feel guilty keeping this book hostage waiting for my friend to finish 'davinci code' so i will set it free. i'm thinking i'll leave it in a grocery cart.
it was a great summer read. it also fit well into my life at the time since i was working as a sign language interpreter at a nature camp when i found it. it shed light on some of the nature topics i was interpreting.
thank you for setting it free. what a great concept - i have told many people about bookcrossing.com. :)

Found this, my first book, on a sunny day in P-town on a scultpture chair. It was a terrific book and I brought it back home with me to release it here in Manchester after my sabbatical in P-town.

I found this book 2 years ago at the Gala Cafe. Unfortunately it looks like I forgot to register it! It kept getting pushed down my TBR so I am going to release it in hopes that someone can enjoy it.
