My Wish List "Thanks, cliff1976!"

Like most of you, I am, and always have been, a bookworm. My mother used to watch me carrying stacks of books around, reading them, then getting more stacks and predicted I'd become a librarian. She was right. After being a teacher for several years, I went back to school to become a librarian. Currently I manage the Reserves Department at Boston College and teach a Children's Literature class. I also teach several Early Childhood classes at Mt. Ida College.

Some of my favorite authors are:

Stephen King
Anne Rice
Barbara Vine / Ruth Rendell
Poppy Z. Brite
Alice Hoffman
Richard Matheson
James Herbert
Charles de Lint
Haruki Murakami
Neil Gaiman
Joanne Harris
Dean Koontz

I like to read anything offbeat. I love horror, especially if it involves vampires. I also love ghost stories, historical fiction, and the 'other worlds' genre of fantasy. The kind where you go for a walk in the woods and end up in a fairy kingdom.

I am happy to share my books. Contact me if you would like to read one of the 'available' books on my shelf. I have also listed all of my paperbacks on PaperBackSwap.com. Eventually, I'll send all of my availables to service men and women in the Middle East as part of Operation Paperback if they are not requested. *IMPORTANT* if you do request one of my books, please send your mailing address at the time of the request. This will really speed things up since most of the time when I reply: "Sure-what's your address?", I never get an answer (strange, but true).

If you happen to find one of my books, please enjoy it any way you like, except by selling it or throwing it away. If you really like the book, please feel free to hang onto it. I don't want anyone to think they have to drop everything, rush through the book, and pass it on right away. All I ask is that you journal the book when you can so I will know what became of it. Let your friends read it (and hopefully journal it!) if you want. I wouldn't mind at all if eventually you mark the book as 'permanent collection' on your BookCrossing bookshelf. In fact, I'd be happy that you liked it that much!
