On loan to Torve.
Found this on the bookshelves of Gillyflower02 and borrowed it.
I had heard of Lake Wobegon Days a long time ago. When I discovered Garrison Keillor on BBC7, I knew his monologues were a reference to this book, but it hadn't occurred to me it was the same author. I thought Lake Wobegon Days was a much older book.

I have started reading this but i'ts not really holding my interest.
I know it supposed to be relaxed and charming and I quite like this in his monologues. Perhaps if I was lounging about on holiday I would enjoy it. but as it is, it doesn't grab me and take me and take me on a journye somewhere else, which is what I am looking for in a book. It reads a bit like a history book. If it was a genuine history then I would probably be fascinated.
I think I will give up on this book, despite having only read 46 pages.
