Stepmom
5 journalers for this copy...
Telling the story of an unlikely friendship, STEPMOM, is a moving but ultimately uplifting tale. Two remarkable women, Jackie, a divorced mother of two, and Isabel, the career-minded girlfriend of Jackie's ex-husband, Luke, continually clash over the well-being of Jackie and Luke's children. But when Jackie discovers she is terminally ill with breast cancer, she finally has to come to terms with her husband's second wife for the sake of her children.
Because of Jackie's illness, she and Isabel find friendship and mutual support as Jackie teaches the woman, who was her rival, to mother her children

RELEASE NOTES:
For July Meeting
Picked up today at the Picton meetup, I loved this movie (made me cry), I wonder if the book will be as good -- better have the tissues handy!
I've just discovered this book is on cosmic-gin's wishlist, so when I've read it I'll send it off to her.
Ooooooh I cried!! The book is an exact copy of the movie, so it was bound to happen. I just found this storyline so close to home - I have step-kids, and their mother doesn't like me :-( so I related to a heckuva lot in this book.
And of course, there was the ending...
It's not on cosmic-gin's Wish List anymore, so I'll save this one for a Meetup.

Taking to the Westie Meetup.
Caught at Westie meet today.
Yep, exactly the same as the movie. A very quick read.
it was very inteesting to me and my mother to see a book just left on a bench at the shops. i picked it up as the post-it note told me and discovered this site. the book itself was a touching read which left me in tears by the end of it, it is not my favorite genre of reading material, but it was very enjoyable and i have now decided to start looking for some old books sitting in my own room to register on this site as i find this ideea a brilliant one...
