Sayers referred to this as "a love story with detective interruptions," so it's not surprising that the book spends most of its time showing Harriet and Peter gingerly working out a common life after having both been fiercely independent for so long. But the mystery isn't neglected either, and the book is full of Sayers' deft touches with character and dialog.

As of today the book isn't there; hope somebody's enjoying it, and will tell us all about it someday.
