For those of you who know Brenda Joyce, this is a Francesca Cahill novel.. And if you're anything like me, you're frustrated as all hell get out-- when is this series ever going to end!!??!!!
Brenda Joyce is a good author-- but she is driving me crazy! Usually when authors a series, they write whole complete books that can stand on their own-- they just involve some of the same characters that you have met in previous books-- but each time it's a new romance. But not Brenda Joyce.. Ms Joyce has stretched ONE romance out into 6 books-- (which means, you'd better read the books in order, or else you'll be seriously confused)-- oh and did I mention she hasn't finished the series yet??
Most romance novels go something like this: Boy meets girl. Girl meets boy. Boy and girl fall in love, get married, make love (although not necessarily in that order). And boy and girl live happily ever after.
The Cahill novels have gone more something like this: Boy meets girl. Girl meets boy. Boy and girl fall in love. Girl finds out boy is already married. Girl still wants to have a relationship with her married boy. Enter boy's half-brother. Half-brother and girl become friends. Half-brother wants to marry girl. Girl wants nothing to do with half-brother.. (Half brother is perfect for girl, by the way) Girl still wants to be with the married boy. Married boy's wife comes into the picture. Girl finally realizes she cannot be with the married boy. Girl accepts half-brother's proposal, but still has doubts.
THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 6 NOVELS ALREADY!! SIX!! And there has been no sex-- No one in these 6 novels have had any sex-- we've gotten close- but it has not happened yet, and I'm really disappointed.. WHO WRITES ROMANCE NOVELS WITHOUT ANY SEX?? oh god, I hope they're aren't any guys reading this write now... oh well, whatever.. I'm sure you can understand my frustration.. I mean, all I want to know is if girl and half-brother finally end up together and live happily ever after!! And if they happen to make love in the process, well, that'd be nice too. And after 6 novels, I should know by now!! I'm hoping the the end is near.. I hope the next Francesca Cahill novel brings and end to all my misery.
