11 April 19 - At the start of this book I was pretty unsure, especially when it jumped back in time to his childhood in chapter 2 with no warning. Once I established that the chapters were alternating in time frames I got on better with it. The book didn’t really pull me in though, and the characters felt a bit distant but I think that may be the point. The reminiscing was done in such a way as to give an incite as to why he is the way it is and why he made the choices he did in his life. It was quite a sad tale all in all but one that gives you something to think about.
