This excellent condition hardback was given to me by my friend Evelyn for bookcrossing. I shall place it on the Cameo Café bookshelf once I've read it.

Journal Entry 2 by wingdaffodil-2wing at North Walsham, Norfolk United Kingdom on Saturday, September 29, 2018
REVIEW:-"An extremely harrowing read about a very high-profile case of the abduction of a British child while in holiday in Portugal. I found it much more interesting reading of what happened before and just after the abduction than all the details that followed. This is because the remainder of the book was filled with so much information that it was difficult to take it all in.

I felt really sorry for the McCann family for the way they were treated by the authorities at times, especially when they were accused of murdering their own daughter, and also how many people they had to sue along the way because of various misdemeanours committed against them.

I pray that one day they will finally know what happened to their little girl and be reunited with her."

I'm reserving the book for my daughter-in-law and thereafter it will be placed on the Cameo Café bookshelf.

Welcome to bookcrossing -you have found a travelling book. Please make a journal entry now to say where you found the book in case it has been moved. Then, when you have read it, please come back and make a further entry saying whether or not you enjoyed the book and why. It is now yours to do as you like with it, pass it to a friend or just leave it somewhere different for someone else to find and help it with its' journey. Of course if you can't bear to part with it at the moment then keep it, but please let me know that you have found it. If you join bookcrossing, which is free and spam-free, you can follow the book on its' travels as you will get an email each time it changes hands, but if you prefer to remain anonymous, that's fine too. Please also say what you intend to do with the book next. Thanks for coming onto the site to let me know you have found the book.

I already have books travelling in many countries around the world-a list can be found on my bookcrossing profile.

When re-releasing this book please be aware that airports are not a good place to leave books unless they have a specific book exchange shelf or area, due to security problems, so they may well just be disposed of. Also charity shops may well discard books that have been labelled in any way and they mostly chose only the books in the very best condition
to place on their shelves and discard the rest-so another bad release option.

Received back from my DIL who read some of it but didn't think she would manage the rest due to her busy lifestyle and the harrowing contents of the book.

Thank you for the Brucie Bonus book. It’s not one I’ve read before. With all the news and speculation surrounding the story I’m sure it will be an interesting read

14 Apr 20 - Wow was it really 2007 this all happened? I remember there was a lot of speculation around the case at the time, bu5 can’t say I followed it in great detail. And I probably wouldn’t of picked this up to read if a bookcrosser hadn’t sent it to me. Has it answered any of the speculation? It’s only one side to the story and I’m aware there are normally many other sides.

The two things that strike me most in this book, is the fact they go on a family holiday and seem to spend very little time with the kids. Putting them in kids clubs and spending the evening in a restaurant without them. I appreciate it was all the families there doing this, but as a kid, I spent every day round the pool, sightseeing and on the beach with my brother, mum and dad. And although I can’t remember what the arrangement was for evenings I’m pretty sure we were never left alone, and so this just seemed very odd to me. The other was how she was describing the investigation and the amount of people involved, it almost felt like running a business, again this felt odd to me.

If the Portuguese police were as bad as she explains then they really were a shambles, there seems there was so much they missed or could have done better. I hope that Madeleine is found and the mystery and questions surrounding this crime can finally be answered.
