Brighty's name came from his love of Bright Angel Creek. The picture in this Journal Entry shows a map...well, a small portion of the National Geographic Society Map with History Highlights of Southwest U.S.A. that Flat Stanley will be bringing to share with Snugglebunny and her Classmates, that will help you locate where it is in the Grand Canyon. You can see Bright Angel Canyon at a diagonal in the very center of the map, and Bright Angel Creek runs along side of it to the left on the map. There is a map page just after the Foreward in the book, too, which is where I placed the two Postcards mentioned in the Journal Entry above. ; )
