18 journalers for this copy...
Aeriel's love has broken the curse on the darkangel Irrylath, making him human again and freeing him from the control of his mother, the dreaded White Witch. But the Witch is far from defeated. Her wicked plans require all seven of her vampyre sons, and she will not give one up so easily. There is but a single hope for the Witch's defeat--solving an ancient, mysterious riddle. So Aeriel sets off to solve the riddle, sailing across a sea of dust and straight into the worst of the Witch's terrors. But if Aeriel is to save Irrylath and her world, she will have to overcome his bloodthirsty darkangel brothers--and ultimately confront his terrifying mother face-to-face.

I looked at the cover and the next minute, I remembered everything from the trilogy. I am surprised when I signed I up I did not remember the books. Well since I have already read them, I can pass them on right away...
My Review:

This was my absolute favorite of the trilogy! I couldn't put it down, and Pierce created more wonderful characters for me to enjoy.
Mailed to the tobysrus yesterday.

The series actually arrived yesterday, but my cable was down and I couldn't journal earlier. I am looking forward to reading these and plan to begin them later today.
I finished this book last night, and I liked this novel better than the first one. More action and the plot started developing, setting the scene for the final confrontation. I liked some of the plot twists and am looking forward to seeing what ultimately happens. Upon conclusion of book two, I jumped right into book three and am almost a third finished. I have butternut's address and envision shipping the series to her later this week.

I received this book a few days ago. I will report back with a full review when I finish.
rec'd from butternut. looking forward to reading.
Still not really a stand alone, IMO. But Aeriel is a wonderful character and the writing is just lovely and lyrical. I also liked how words were just a tad different from our words; it added a familiar, yet vaguely exotic touch.
Leaving vols. 1 & 2 as TBR until I finish vol. 3. Sent off for next person's address and will get into the mail sometime this week.

mailed to geniedances 9/22.
Aerial's journey continues. Along the way she meets a number of individuals who will remain friends throughout her travels. There is much to accomplish and the path is a rocky one.
Will be on the way to Shaunesay by the end of the week.
Received today, will read and pass along with the other two as soon as possible!
I love the way that this author takes familiar ideas and gives them just a bit of a twist, I see so many classic themes!
I have to say, even though he was kind of a small part of the story, I loved the dust-shrimp, because when I had my aquarium set up for awhile, we had accidentally gotten a shrimp in with some of the fish we bought. He'd just gotten scooped up in the net and rather than try to get just him out, they let us keep him. He took up residence in the pottery castle that was in the tank, and we would often see him, standing at the top of the steps of it, right in front of the little open slit that was the doorway, that only he would fit through, looking around as though surveying his kingdom, it was great! He really did seem to have a personality! This little dust-shrimp reminded me of him! Hee!
Passing on to BountifulPots to give a quick read and then back to me, so I can send the first two on to explorer1118m!

Wow, if i thought i liked the first vol. in this trilogy, i loved the second. The way she changes and grows with each book and each new experience, good or bad. I hated to put it down. I read them both in 1 day a piece and hope very much that i am soon on the ring for the third book.
Received in today's mail. Now have all 3 books and will start right away.
Update 01/28: I could hardly put this book down. I enjoyed it much much more than the first book in this trilogy. I like the way Aerial is growing. The story flows right along. I will say the riddle was fairly obvious, and sometimes I grow irritated that she could be so dense as to miss what is happening.
I really can't say much more without giving spoilers, so I won't. Thanks for sharing this trilogy on ring!

Arrived in mail yesterday.
Sent to R2 on Monday. Sorry about the delay on these ones.
This arrived in the mail this morning along with Vol. 3 of the trilogy.
This was a very quick read. I realy enjoyed some of the surprises in the book but found that Aeriel was a little slow on the uptake about some of the things happening. It set the stage very nicely for the final showdown. I can't wait to read the third book and see how it plays out.
This was an enjoyable book that set up the next book nicely. It was a very quick read - I finished it the same day that R2 gave it to me, but was unable to journal it as we had to take an emergency trip out of town.

I mailed this off this morning to the next on the list.
It arrived today, with the third and final volume in tow. I plan on taking these with me to the beach when I go on vacation next week. Hopefully I'll manage to read a lot then, so as to finally catch up on the rings I have lying around home. Looking forward to continuing this series. :)
I read this book during my vacations but forgot to make a JE until now. I'm sorry for have kept it for so long but I mailed it today with volume 3 to Auglaise.
I'd already quite enjoyed the first volume of this series and I liked the second even more. It's a beautiful story, with a wonderful main character with whom a person can identify, someone we feel for and go through the story wanting her to succeed, hurting when she does, smiling when she feels contentment or finds some respite from the troubles of her task.

I received this while on holiday, and so wasn't able to journal.
I've finished it now, and thought that it was a wonderful sequel to the first! I've really enjoyed everything I've read by this author, and am very impressed by the worlds she creates. I can't wait to read the ending of the trilogy! This will be going on to heathwitch as soon as I have an address.
