From the back cover: The lakeside town of Warner Pier, Michigan, is tickled pinker than a strawberry truffle. Flashy Aubrey Andrews Armstrong has just swept into town, dropping celebrity names and claiming he's a Hollywood producer. For his next project, he says, he'll make a movie based on a local author's romance novel - right there "on location," as they say in Tinsel Town. Armstrong makes older ladies blush and giggle like schoolgirls. He's promised the members of the high school drama club bit parts in the movie. And Monte, his chocolate Lab and constant companion, is quite the charmer. But sensible Lee McKinney, business manager of TenHuis Chocolade, would bet her last chocolate coin that Mr. Armstrong is a doggone phony. Even though it's the shop's busy season, Lee's always up for some sleuthing. But when her detecting leads her to a dead body, dogging the killer could fetch a whole lot of danger...
I received this same book in a two-in-one book so I will be passing this one onwards...

The book is on its way to the next reader as a part of the wishlist tag-game! Happy Reading! :)
Two of my favourite things - chocolate and puppies; can't go wrong.
Well, I actually like puppies most when they sleep and afterwards, when they have grown some sort of a brain, then it's nice to remember the time they were little...
Today I weighed miself and found out I had liked chocolate a bit too much this summer. I have previously ended my love affair with Mr Fazer, Mr Chymos and Mr Panda with very good results (-15 kg), but apparently there is no way of enjoying them just a little (+8 kg). So from now on, my chocolate comes only in literal form.
Thanks for this wishlist book, Soozreader!

I turned 50 and got 50 Kismet bars from my classmate, who remembers Kismet was my favourite candy back then.
I escaped having a party and travelled to my favourite city, York. There is something new every time I return there (if I haven't lost count, this was my eight visit) and this time it was The Chocolate Story -museum. You see, EDIBLE chocolate was invented in York. Until then, people only drank chocolate.
Since my last entry, not only due to those 50 Kismets, almost two weeks on full English breakfast, pub food and those countless brands of cider, I have gone up from those -15 kilos to +17!!😨😨.
Now chocolate has to be banned in this house and I'm starting the clearance from this book. Annelis has this on her wishlist, so this goes next to her.
I'm on page 40, no murders yet, but the plot seems so obvious.
Edit:The 50-Kismet-Bag! More bars under the owl.

Thank you very much, Kirjakko!
Thank you very much, Kirjakko!
This time I had some chocolate to eat while reading this chocolate story and I had a good start with the book. Was it because of the chocolate that I liked this book better than the previous one?
Luckily I know a new reader for the book. I must trust the Post, hopefully not in vain....
This is my book #73 in the Reduce Mount TBR 2017 -challence by Dove-i-libri.

Nice and easy, but not the best example of this genre - still suitable for the summer holidays :)
