The book is advertised as hilarious etc, but it made me cry. It could so easily have been about my family, not all parts related to the same family members, but always to some. Some of us arrived in the UK pre 1939, others as a result of subsequent upheavals. The beginnings are always the same, the yearning is always the same. Thank you, Natasha, for writing this book and thank you, Loughborough University, for enabling me to see it while I was waiting for coffee.
