I am a book lover. I have been reading since I was 5-6 years old and read an average of a book every few days. My children read, my husband reads... We are a reading family. We take books wherever we go and have found Bookcrossing.com to be a good way to lighten our load. We buy most of our books at used book stores but also haunt garage sales and thrift shops. Our shelves are overflowing but we keep buying and reading books. We are obsessed, in a good way. We hope to make our extra books available for those who want to read and release as well. (Except for my husband's books, which he reads and rereads, and never will let me register- some day I will get my hands on them- HA HA HA).
I also recently have been reading in the messageboards about trading and hope anyone who had been a member for over a year will consider requesting any available books. I have never mailed out of the US but would if it isn't too expensive, and if the recipient knows my books are ALL USed condition, many of them are poor, used condition. I buy them to READ, not for their looks.
