I do not have a personal home page. I listed the URL of my business website "Abitha's Herbary". I have been in business about 20 years and will probably retire in the near future. At least I will be closing my retail store front. I will still have my website for those who are interested in the Magical, Mystical, Metaphysical world. We sell books pertaining to those subjects as well as Perfumed oils, incenses, candles charms, etc.
I have been an avid reader all my life, being able to read even before I began school. As a child I lost myself in fairytales and fantasy stories. Now my favorite stories are still fantasies. I particular like Stephen King, Dean Koontz and other writers of this genre. However, I also enjoy many other type stories. I do have a large book collection, some that I haven't looked at in many years. My sisters, also, give me books they have decided they no longer want.
I think passing books on this way is a wonderful idea. It would be nice to be able to follow the trail of a book from person to person, but I realize this won't happen with most of the books. However, you never know who's life you may brighten. I have been placing books no longer needed on a free "take one" stand in my shop for several years now. Recently, I came across a single encyclopedia book that I placed there. I didn't know if anyone would be interested in a single encyclopedia, but a 12 yr old boy came into the shop with his father. He looked at the book and I told him he could have it. He was surprised and thrilled with it. Needless to say, that made my day, also.
