I think nothing holds a person back more than bad manners. And good manners go a long way toward helping a person be successful - further than money or education. Often, I feel like a dinosaur for putting such stock in being polite. But then along came Major Pettigrew. What a great character - always doing the right thing and being rather witty about it. I loved this book. I've found my people.
