This is a paperback copy in good condition bought from a charity shop or second-hand book stall. I did enjoy the story which was very well written but for me the ending was rather spoilt by the disturbing subject matter. I can't really go into it without spoiling the story for other readers.
The two main characters are teachers who meet and fall in love and end up teaching at the same school. The husband goes off on a school trip to Venice with 15 pupils and this is where the problems start .............
