CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Passing on to a friend to share with her fellow residents who, in lockdown, are missing their usual library books.
I greatly enjoyed the colour, richness, breadth, and erudition of this tangled tale of unconventional families from 1895 to 1919. It has haunting descriptions of Dungeness, a place I have long wanted to visit and will also prompt me to further explore South Kensington’s Victoria and Albert Museum.

Received from Loribee six months ago. This is a long book full of mysteries, telling the interrelated stories of several characters over the period from 1895 to 1919. One of them is a writer of magical tales and some of the tales are included in the book. I found it definitely worth reading. Now travelling.
