This was given to me by a colleague who's having a clear out. I already have a copy on my TBR shelf so will write a journal entry when I've read it.

I finished this off on a journey to America and it was great for getting me in the holiday mood. It's not as laugh-out-loud funny as some of Bryson's other books, but it has its moments. I found his descritions of the trail and the people he met on it fascinating. Makes me almost want to go hiking! And having Katz as a sidekick thoughout adds to the humour.
