The Winter Ghosts

Again Kate Mosse have captured me in her historical environment in south of France. It was thanks to her book "the Labyrinth" that I took RyanAir to Carcassonne to visit la cité. Great book, wonderful travel.
"The Winter Ghosts" is just as the title says a little bit darker and more chilly. I can hear the sound of the water from the mountaincreeks and almost feel the wind and the snow against my face. Her description of the people and the environment are rich in detail and still easy to plunge into.
This book has something extra the others did not have: woodcut illustrations by the artist Brian Gallagher. The blackness of these woodcuts correspond very well with the story. The other colours are easily filled in with your own imagination, especially the heroins blue cloak is grafted in my mind when the book is finished.
I hope you will enjoy it too!

Sent to a friend who will release it there or in Maastricht soon.

Another great Kate Mosse book (but did not beat the labyrint). i found at the Vodafone Coffee Corner in Building Wit 2nd floor. I left it on a bench in Malberg a district of Maastricht near OBS het Palet the School of my youngest Son.
