Good Bones and Simple Murders

Margaret Atwood is one of my favorites, but I didn't enjoy this as much as her other works. I am used to reading her full-length books and this was short stories. I think her writing style is suited for the novel. She is at her best when delving deep into a subject. All of these stories feel like they are just getting started, and then they're over. They're still good, but I didn't like them as much as her wonderful novels. My favorite in the book was My Life as a Bat, which was also the longest. I also enjoyed the fairy tale stories, and the story with Hamlet's mother, Gertrude, as the subject.
The book had cute illustrations drawn by Atwood.
