Good book. It is amazing to see how Dick has written shitloads of stories with plots, characters and storylines borrowing from each other.
As in other stories of his, precogs (as in Minority Report) and Half-Lifers are the main subjects of this story that might be set in a sort of afterlife for almost-but-not-quite-dead frozen people.
The central theme of the story is that scientific and technological advances might impede our ability to live, where at some point to line between life and death might blur to such an extent that we will never be able to live our lives to the fullest.
