This was the very first novel I ever read by Stephen King. It took me most of the summer holiday in 1992 but I got through it and it initiated me into his world. It showed me Stphne King books aren't your classic horror, they're wonderful stories, as is this one about childhood, friendship, general life, with horror added.
This book is funny, scary, moving, enchanting... everything you want in a good horror novel, which is what made me want to read more and more of his work.
