Hi there! If you're new to bookcrossing, thanks for taking the time & trouble to look up the site. Please feel free to add your thoughts on the book and then pass it on to someone else to enjoy.
I really enjoyed the Discovery of chocolate by the same author, and wasn't disappointed by this novel either. A young Venetian foundling who suffers from short sight, finds first a place as a painter's assistant and then embarks on a long and dangerous journey to search for lapis lazuli, to make a blue paint to portray heaven. The mystical tone of the books reminds me of the work of Paul Coelho.
