Extended Profile
Hello, my name is Hilary and I am a bookaholic.
I enjoy Bookcrossing because I like to keep a record of my reads, and hate the waste that happens when charity shops send unsold books to landfill.
Bookcrossing has led me to many new authors and books that I wouldn't have read otherwise, and I enjoy doing some of the challenges and receiving and sending books out in the post, although the cost of that is rocketing.
I release mostly through RABCKS and at zones and free libraries.
My profile picture is of my beautiful cat Millie, who had to be euthanized 26th October 2019.
Edited to add: December 12th 2020 we suddenly had to euthanize our loving but feisty little Sukie cat: so if your pet tries to take your attention away from your book/phone/laptop for a while, let them. You won't have them for ever.
Edited to add preferences for gift exchanges: baby and chunky yarn for charity knitting; book crossing supplies; creative fabrics and thread; dark chocolate (as it is usually low sugar); note cards/ postcards; wings; books. No black or green tea please!
